Sustainable House Day Darwin Terms and Conditions

Sustainable House Day will be held on Sunday 16 June 2024 

  • There are 10 sessions over 4 homes on the day, each lasting an 45 minutes. 
  • The homes are in Larrakeyah, Ludmilla and Nightcliff. Address details will be shared 2 days prior 
  • Homeowners have decided in advance their session times and capacities 
  • All registrations are done online, and attendees will have their registration available on their device or as a hard copy. 
  • Registration provides for coverage under Environment Centre NT insurance. If you have not registered you are not covered by the Environment Centre NT 

Registration and Entry 

  • All attendees must register for the event through the official event website or designated registration channels. 
  • All attendees must book one tour per household through the official event website 
  • Entry to the homes is only permitted during the specified tour times on 16th June, 2024. 

Respect for Property 

  • Attendees must respect the homeowners’ properties and follow any specific guidelines provided by the homeowners or event organizers. 
  • Sanitize hands upon entry into the property 
  • No smoking, eating, or drinking inside the homes 
  • Please refrain from making loud noises or disruptive behavior 
  • Do not touch or move any items in the homes  
  • Only go to areas of the home that have been opened by the homeowner and follow the tour group around the home. If rooms have been closed off or areas fenced off, do not enter these 
  • Do not use any facilities at the homes (for instance the bathroom) 

Photography and Filming 

  • Photography and filming inside the homes are only allowed with the explicit permission of the homeowners. 
  • Any photos or videos taken should not be used for commercial purposes without consent. 

Safety and Conduct 

  • Attendees must follow all safety instructions provided by the event organizers and homeowners. 
  • Do not enter any areas that are marked as restricted or off-limits. 
  • Wear appropriate footwear and clothing for walking and standing and be mindful of exposure to the sun 
  • Children under the age of 12 must be always supervised by an adult. 
  • Attendees should behave respectfully and courteously towards the homeowners, other attendees, and event staff. 

Liability 

  • Attendees participate in the event at their own risk. The Environment Centre NT and homeowners are not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses that occur during the event 
  • Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings and should ensure they do not leave any items behind at the homes. 

Parking and Access 

  • If possible, walk or bike ride to each house 
  • If driving, attendees should park in designated areas and avoid blocking driveways or access points. 
  • Be mindful of the residents and do not park on private property. 
  • Follow any parking instructions provided by the event organizers to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety. 

Privacy and Confidentiality 

  • Attendees must respect the privacy of the homeowners and other attendees. 
  • Personal information of the homeowners or other attendees should not be shared without their consent. 

Health and Safety 

  • Attendees are encouraged to follow health and safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate footwear and clothing for walking and standing. 
  • If you feel unwell or exhibit any symptoms of illness, please refrain from attending the event. 

Compliance with Laws 

  • All attendees must comply with local laws and regulations during the event. 

Changes and Cancellations 

  • The Environment Centre NT reserves the right to change or cancel the event or specific house tours due to unforeseen circumstances. 
  • Attendees will be notified of any changes or cancellations as soon as possible.
